HTML? What???

Learning HTML Coding

HTML is a type of coding system that was made to allow scientists at different universities to have access to each other's files. Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of HTML, never knew that HTML would someday be the basis of our everyday Internet (which he also helped create).  HTML stands for Hyper-Text Markup Language. The easiest way to show you what HTML looks like is to have you do a simple task: find a free spot on the page, right-click, and choose "View Page Source." On some browsers you could also click "View", then click "Source." To someone who doesn't know HTML, that looks like a bunch of gibberish, but after learning HTML, it will all make sense. HTML is simple to learn... in fact, you could have your own website created in less than an hour.

Now you might be wondering why I would bother telling people about this complicated language. That is because in STEP Class (see "Objection!") we are making our own HTML Websites. Mine is about parakeets, inspired by my two pet parakeets, Topaz and Blossom. Due to the fact that my HTML Website does not have a domain, I cannot publish it to the Internet. Once I get the domain, I can put a link to it.

For this website, I have only learned the basics of HTML. If anyone has anymore knowledge that they would like to share, or if you have anything else to say about HTML, please remember that comments are always appreciated!
